Kinds of Siamese Fighters
There are many kinds of Siamese Fighters, such as the Veil Tail, Half Moon and Crown Tail. They are beautiful fish that are very easy to take care of, however, they are aggressive and shouldn’t be kept with other fish.
Siamese fighters come in a variety of colours including red, blue, green, turquoise, yellow, orange and pink. The most common ones we sell are red, blue and black Veil Tails at $15 each. Some of the rarer species sell up to $50 each.
Siamese Fighter Care Recommendations
There are a few important points that you will need to know if you are interested in a Siamese Fighter. Betta Fish are a temperate water fish, therefore they will struggle if the temperature drops below 18 degrees.
Normally if your house is warm during the winter they should be ok without a heater otherwise we recommend a small heater to keep them warm. If you have a filter, water changes should be reduced dramatically. However without a filter you will need to change 50% of the water 1-2 times per week.
Make sure you use a chlorine neutraliser to remove the chlorine from the tap water as chlorine is harmful to Betta Fish. It is also recommended that you add a pinch of water conditioning blue salts.
