Just arrived! We just got in 40 of the cutest and smallest baby short-necked turtles. A Baby Turtle, what an Awesome gift for your kids.

If you are interested in getting one of our adorable little turtles, then consider the following facts:

Turtles are omnivores, meaning they need both vegetables and meat. A stable diet consists of nutritionally balanced pellets, crickets, worms and vegetables. These babies will need feeding daily, whereas as they become adults they will only need to be fed 2 to 3 times a day. In our store we sell high quality turtle pellets and frozen turtle food and turtle vegetables; we have everything your turtle will need.

For your turtle you will need a tank at least 2 feet long. You will need an ultra violet light and light unit as this stimulates vitamin D3 into the turtles systems which allows them to absorb calcium; without this they will develop a soft shell. A heater is needed as the water must be around 24 degrees. A filter is important because turtles produce a fair amount of waste. A dock is an area out of water for your turtle to rest and get some air. Calcium blocks should also be added as a calcium supplement and a turtle dome which cleans the water and removes odours. Turtle conditioner and chlorine neutralizer should be added to any new water you put in the tank. The pH level for a turtle must be above 7.0 if it is any lower we recommend using Tropical Balance to bring up the pH level.

All of these products can be found in our store. We also sell tank set ups for your turtle that come with all the basics.
