​The GLASS lizard tanks tend to last longer and are easier to clean, whereas Wood Melamine will deteriorate over time, and being timber, you need to be careful how much water you use while cleaning.

While GLASS lizard tanks are used for semi-aquatic species, we recommend that if you purchase Wooden Melamine lizard tanks that you use a small bead of silicone around all the timber joins to stop water from getting into the gaps and swelling the timber.

WOODEN lizard tanks are much better at holding temperature as heat escapes through glass quicker than wood. 

You may also be interested in the price difference, well there is not much difference in the two, so it is best to drop into the stores for advice.

One thing you need to be aware of is ALL reptile tanks need to have adequate ventilation. Adequate ventilation means that there will be no condensation build-up on the inside of the glass tanks. Ventilation is critical as humid environments for most desert-dwelling snakes and lizards will cause respiratory infections.
